Category: Suvharnabhumi International Airport

Suvharnabhumi International Airport is one of Thailand’s prides.  They have a good reason to be, because this airport is huge– and the design is very classy a combination of glass and metal.

Photos of Thailand’s Royal Couple can be viewed from the airport’s entrance.  The first photo is of the King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s as a child.  Tourists dub Bangkok’s airport as the airport of smiles as you can easily feel at home with all the friendly airport personnel greeting you the moment you set foot on Thailand’s capital.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport is only one among the beautiful metal buildings in the country. In the city capital, huge shopping complexes are mostly made out of metal, too.

It might be one of the most difficult words you’ll ever say.  But actually in Thai it’s simply “Suwanaphum”– except that it has a tone that would be impossible to describe in writing.  Tones are important in Thai language.  Most often than not, foreigners who come to Thailand with a list of words to say may end up not being understood because of wrong usage of  tones.

This stained-glass window right at the entrance of the airport are photos of His MajestyKing Bhumibol Adulyadej.

This huge edifice is mainly made up of steel and glass.

Colorful banners welcome you to the Land of Smiles!
